Icanpreneurial Story: From Storyteller to Startup Builder
Dec 22 • 2 min read
In this Icanpreneurial Story, we met Alexei Lazarov, Founder & CEO @ Visibilio and Former Editor in Chief at Capital
This story is about Alex' journey as a startup founder reinventing his idea into a successful product and how that transformation unfolded.
Visibilio didn’t start as a startup.
It started as a feeling.
One founder came from journalism, the other from AI. They knew storytelling was changing and believed technology could help creators get seen - but they didn’t yet have a business model, a category, or a clear customer.
That changed when they stopped treating Visibilio as a side project and started treating it like a startup.
Using Icanpreneur, they turned a vague idea – “an AI-powered storytelling tool” – into a structured map: a Lean Canvas, clear assumptions, and a validation plan. What mattered most wasn’t speed, but clarity.
The real breakthrough came from customer interviews. By feeding transcripts and notes into Icanpreneur, patterns emerged. Visibilio wasn’t primarily solving problems for writers. Content marketers were the ones struggling with distribution overwhelm, unclear ROI, and AI content fatigue.
That insight reframed everything.
Visibilio wasn’t a content platform. It was an enablement layer–a content visibility engine connecting creators to outcomes. From there, the next steps became obvious: new personas, sharper positioning, and focused experiments instead of guesses.
They’re still storytellers.
But now, they’re builders too – building in public, with structure instead of instinct.
