How to build a buyer persona that reflects a real person

Use this when

You want a clearer picture of your buyer based on research, not just assumptions.

In Icanpreneur

  1. Open your startup workspace and go to Personas.
  2. Click New persona.
  3. In New Buyer Persona research, select the Customer Segment you want to understand better.
  4. In Interview Script, choose an existing script or click Script to understand buyer decisions to create one with IVA.
  5. Review the script, language, and research setup before starting.
  6. Decide whether to use Synthetic validation by keeping Let IVA interview 5 synthetic respondents enabled.
  7. Click Create Research and Persona.
  8. Let the research run and review the findings as interviews are completed.
  9. When IVA finishes the initial synthetic research, open View persona or return to Personas to review the generated buyer persona.
  10. Review the persona in full, including the Profile, Priority Initiatives, Success Factors, Perceived Barriers, Buyer's Journey, and Decision Criteria.
  11. Keep in mind that this is a living persona, not just a static document – it updates automatically in real time as interviews are added to or removed from the related research.
